It just means that they link to specific content (not your homepage) deep down in your sites. For example you mite have a site about CARS, and you have a much smaller section on a few bikes that you have for sale, you can link directly to that section.

DEEP links are seen optimized with keywords and bring costumers directly to where they want to be.
