Default Google

I know there may be no answer to this but let me briefly explain:

We own several websites that rank very well on Google and Yahoo. In fact, for some of our most important keywords we come up on page one and two.

However, one of our websites was ranking # 3 for a key term. This is an important keyword for us. When I go to google.com and search this we now come up number 5 today and then at times number 6. We rank number 2 for allinanchor.

My question is:

Why would we be dropping even though are allinanchor and inbound links have increased? We are making sure that our anchor links are not all the same so this shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for your help,
Scott

I suggest, you must make sure that you are getting links from good PR and relevant sites not all from FFA sites. You should also take care for link baiting technique to be avoided.

Typical Google dance issue - a scenario where Google displays varied results as they update their data centers.
