Default Best Blog Software?

Im using CuteNews right now, but its kind of limited on features. What do you guys think of Typad and Wordpress...and any other ones? Mine doesnt even let you edit html, bolding, fonts, etc. and I have unexperienced web users and its really hard to explain html code to them.

Most everyone uses Wordpress which means it's either really good or really hyped up. It might be a possible choice for a content website, too. I really liked Textpattern and it's customizability compared to Wordpress. It was really hard for me to make a theme in Wordpress compared to Textpattern. Textpattern was very nice layout and code-wise. It's also very search engine friendly.

Also, with Wordpress, your users should be able to figure it out most of the way through, at least. I've never tried Typepad, but I'd recommend Wordpress for your basic users and community.

Cool Re: Best Blog Software?

Wordpress.
WordPress › Download

I can't remember if it comes with a default WYSIWYG editor. I think it does.
Easy install, easy to use, large user base. It's the simplest way (once installed) for a non-techie to get his thoughts on the 'net.

If the moderators don't mind:

For search engine success, you need an optimised theme. By co-incidence, I have some here:

My Troubles With Wordpress Themes

A default Wordpress install is hopeless for search engine marketing.
