I'm not sure since Ive never done this. Try looking through hotscripts or something. they have scripts and tutorials that should tell you how to do this.

I think the easiest way would be to use php and create a header file to inlcude in your pages.

Use PHP includes for your header? Change your whole site to PHP will help you make changes to the whole site a lot easier. Because when you change the header, it means changing the whole site because every page of your site uses the header.
