How do I get started with PHP - Webmaster Forums - Webmaster forum for HTML, PHP, ASP, CSS and more

I would like to learn PHP and MySQL. How do I start? It looks like more than just a script (like JavaScript) that I can use without having to have special sofware. Do I need to install some kind of PHP software on my own computer to program it? Do I need special software to create MySQL databases, or can my MS Office software export to it's format?

For starters I chose the "Dummies" book. It gives some examples and explains very nicely what happens.

to start . u shout have
+ program tool to write code : DREAMWEAVER or PHP design .
+apache server : Vertrigo Server or Wampp server . To install php and mysql
+ basic knowlege about mysql . database . php syntax in php.net or w3schools.com
+practice code and learn advance skill

Note : don't learn theory without code . you should code more . your skills will be ascending
