// create a simple 2-dimensional array
$data = array(
        1 => array ('Name', 'Surname'),
        array('Schwarz', 'Oliver'),
        array('Test', 'Peter')
        );

// generate file (constructor parameters are optional)
$xls = new Excel_XML('UTF-8', false, 'Workflow Management');
$xls->addArray($data);
$xls->generateXML('Output_Report_WFM');

?>
php-excel.class.php
Code:

Default Re: export mysql to xls

Sorry I am not familiar with php-excel or DBarray class. However, with the example you've given, I think you should try this:

PHP Code:
<?php
    $xls
= new Excel_XML('UTF-8'false'Workflow Management');

$data = array();           // empty array

$data[1] = array(          // header row goes on index #1

'Name',

'Phone',

/*...*/

);
    while(
$samthing DBarray($select))
    {

$data[] = array(       // create one row and append to $data

$samthing['name'],

$samthing['phone'],

/*...*/

);
    }

$xls->addArray($data);

$xls->generateXML('Output_Report_WFM');
?>
