I was looking for a PHP cURL method to connect to my remote SMTP since the mail() function works abnormal. I know cURL is command based function and it is possible to connect any server. But I would appreciate if anyone had a try on the cURL.

I am not sure if you can use cURL to connect to SMTP. Instead, you can use fsockopen and related network functions to connect to SMTP.

I also suggest that you Google "pear smtp class and tutorials". The PEAR's Net_SMTP class should help you deal with most SMTP related functions.
