Learn PHP , that is my recommendation, Asp is easy, and PHP also very easy, moreover PHP is more powerful and opensource solution, I do programming with both and i feel PHP is better than ASP most of the time

I am also beginner of php language i learn asp.net since 6 months but nothing clear out my mind what happend. but now starting learn php that is very easy to use of everthing is not imposible thats is very good for me and u i dont now .

I believe both languages are a great tool to have, but with CMS's becoming so popular learning the open source PHP would be the better of the two options if you had to learn one or another.
