Java Script Incompatibilities

I am the faculty advisor on our school web site. We use php and mysql on a linux server and recently tried adding a "driving directions" page to our web site that uses java script and an api published by google to allow visitors to our site to get directions to athletic and performing arts events at all the conference schools.

BUT....

the page is non-functional when viewing it from Internet Exploder. Have other folks had similar problems with what appears to us to be browser compatibility problems? Has anyone used the Google map api and had this problem?

The page works fine when using Firefox.

It works perfectly with IE too. The problem could be with the IE version. I use IE 6. And it works just right.

SStrong i would try to validate the Site using the World Wide Web Consortium validator its awsome and fixes most every compatibility problem.
