Hi,
I have tried posting this question elsewhere but could not find a solution, so I hope someone here could give me some pointers and tell me what my issue is and how to resolve it.
I installed a Wordpress Classified Plugin called AWPCP two weeks' ago on my Wordpress Gabfire theme. The AWPCP plugin has a text editor for users posting their ads. It was working fine until a week ago when the text editor
suddenly doesn't allow the user to enter any text. After entering the first letter, the second letter keeps jumping off the screen. This happens in both IE and Firefox. It also happens when I attempt to modify the text from the admin panel.
The plugin developer said AWPCP doesn't have any client-side JavaScript that attempts to clear out fields during editing. The developer asked me if I had installed any browser addons before the problem started, which I had not.
He suggested I try these:
i) install Wordpress themes TwentyTen and TwentyEleven and attempt to post ad
ii) deactivate all plugins and try posting in both the above themes and current Gabfire theme
Didn't work. The same problem with all the themes and with other plugins activated or deactivated.
I really need advice badly because the site is life and we just launched.
I am not sure if this is related but a week before this, I paid a developer on elance.com to help me fix the following:
(i) direct the user who pays directly to the Paypal page rather than to its Paypal Sandbox
(ii) after finish posting, to direct the user to the posted page
(iii) after finish posting, to insert a link back to edit page
Item (iii) created a problem and eventually the developer revert back to no link. Do you think he messed up? The company seems very slip-short to me.
I am at wits end and am eager to resolve this.
Can anyone give me some advice?
I don't want to go back to the developer because I don't trust those guys.
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks
