The people hosting a website I've worked on are moving from Linux to IIS in the near future. I believe that they're running asp.net on the new IIS web server - will this require complete redevelopment of the website (which is mainly static html, css, bit of javascript and a cgi mailform app for html form to email use) or will the site run as normal on the new server?? apologies for the lack of knowledge. any help gratefully appreciated.

it is not a question if asp.net supports your website, it is the question if IIS does.
as i dont have a Yes or No for ya, i recommend you to test it.

Just build a little website based on the same requirements of the website you want to relocate and test it on the IIS.
Keep an eye on the used versions and dependencies:as you wrote:" (which is mainly static html, css, bit of javascript and a cgi mailform app for html form to email use) "

In my opinion it should work without any serious problems, but the better you test it before, the greater is the chance of a successfull relocation.
