I need your help.. I am an IT student, I need some ideas of what should my topic be in our thesis,, payroll, enrollment system is too common.. I need something that is different,, I will be using VB.. it could be both hardware(using barcode scanner) and software.. thanks in advance..

if you are using a hardware like bar code scanner... you can also use it in purchasing system. if you notice the system that usually use in grocery stores or department store... good luck
