Default Newbie with ASP

Hi

I am ne wusing ASP and wanted to know, IIS does have anything to do when you make a ASP site or want to get the request from some person or the ASP can be done in a normal internet server like a host's server?

My understanding is that if you develop your site with ASP (Active Server Page), then you need to find Windows (IIS) Hosting.

but if I want to make a form or have users do I just have to upload the sites made with ASP code or the IIS is necesary?

You just have to upload your ASP to your hosting environment. However, you should have a testing environment setup locally to make sure that it work before you put it online.
