Does this sound like an Image::Magick problem?

I purchased a website script a few months ago and the guy who wrote the script pretty much jumped ship as soon as I encountered a problem with the design. I am not experienced in programming Perl or cgi scripts and at this point I am not sure what to do to get this thing to work.

At this point everything is working properly on the website except for one very important function. The website is a pixel advertising site where people can purchase ad space on this grid of 10,000 little squares. Each 10 x 10 pixel square can be purchased and you can combine the squares to make a bigger ad. It even lets you view what your ad will look like before purchasing it. You can change the size of your graphic and the position and all of that works great for the example feature. But once you click on the payment button and go through the checkout process the ad doesn't display on the grid.

The server has the Perl module Image::Magick ver. 5.4 installed and I had the administrator update to ver. 6.2 in a special location for me because apparently the old version would restrict the graphics from displaying properly. I had someone fix the code to call on the new version of Image::Magick, although I haven't noticed any changes and the ad graphics still do not display.

At this point I have no idea what to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This site is a fund-raiser for a friend who has leukemia and I'm afraid that we might not get this site fixed in time for him to even see it. He is very sick at this point and may pass any day now.
