User accounts?

Can anyone tell me how or show me a tutorial on how. I can creat a place for my site users to loing/log out. I want to do it using a MYSQL database but since this isnt my field I have no clue how to do so. Also is it possible to have them be able to register and/or have me automatically be able to set up user accounts?

what will the users see after they login?
if its gonna be something like a forum, u can just install the whole forum s/w like phpBB or IVP, etc on ur site.
Also, it wud help if u let us kno wht exactly is ur field?

They won't see a forum. I want to make my own members section of my site. Thy can sign up/login/log out etc.

Take a look at the readme file... You may have to modify the page the user is forwarded to after logging in. Enjoy
