i'm starting to work in a small company that uses php as its default web developing language , and have another chance to go to another company with asp.net as its default developing language ,,,

my knowledge with asp.net is the same with php ,,, just starting around :P

my question is what to choose to start my career with ? php or asp.net company ?

PHP is not a bad language, better than ASP.

I would have advised PHP a few years back for internal work, and it is still viable. But, Python has been coming on over the last few years as far as web is concerned, and it is just cleaner than PHP. It is not as web orientated, but once your project gets large it will make things simpler and more controllable.

ASP, well only if you want to work in MS shops most of the time, the open languages tend to be more fun and have better thinking put into them.
