Do Auto Backups Slow Down Your Computer?
I've read that some users of some automatic backup services report a drastic slow down in their computer's performance.
Does anyone have similar complaints?

There is something to the slowdown. I did experience this with Mozy, but I can't really complain too much with the free service.

Re: Do Auto Backups Slow Down Your Computer?
My wifes work computer used to back up every night to her work network. It would completely bog down our internet connection so my computer would have slow access. Changed the setting to only back up when directly connected to network not vpn.

Do you backups in the wee hours of the morning, and you won't notice a thing.

Re: Do Auto Backups Slow Down Your Computer?
Yes, this is true as I have also heard that automatic backups can considerably slow down your PC and even sometimes it may cause the system to crash.
