We are discussing online backup but it is safe to assume you'd be backing up similar files on CD or external hard drives.

Oh, yeah...I've had a computer crash. In fact, my husband is fixing the crashed computer of our friends right now. I have a hard drive thingy that I plug into my computer with a USB cord and I am using that right now, but I will be getting online storage soon.

I'm really bad about backing up my personal photos. I've lost a lot of them over the years. I need to remember do back them up to several third-party websites in addition to my external back-up drive. I've got a stack of old hard drives dating back to 1996 that still have photos and files on them. Thank goodness for USB enclosures.

I only backup my music, movies, pictures and documents. Everything else can be downloaded and reinstalled.
