online is definately the way to go. its more secure than a hard drive that is vulnerable to fire, flood, theft, or your two year old turning it on and off. I use a service called mimedia that I have found very useful.

Backup methods such as CDs and DVDs can degrade over time and can cause the information to become unreadable.
Not all online backup services are created equally. You may find that the amount you have to pay for these services vary depending on the amount of storage space you want to pay for. Some services allow for remote access and others do not. These and other factors are things you should look at when deciding which service you want to use.At Techstore we can advise you of the best online data backup solution for your business needs

Hi.. Basically the more you ue the drive the greater chance there is that the computer will write over the old "deleted files", files don't actually get vanished.. This Forum site is good..

There are many web hosting providers that offers online off-site backup solutions. In that the best I have found is the remote backup solution based on R1Soft's a backup software application that ensures the disk-based data protection and disaster recovery for web servers and workstations running Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
