why we using online backup? and why we not use data tapes for backup? is online backup is more secure ?

I suggest you use secure media for data backup. And if you used offline media then its much better like use some external drives LTO, AIT tapes ...etc

What size is the data-set you are backing-up? I know you said it is huge, but a more numeric value might help us make some recommendations.

If you have 100's of GB you will need a service provider that can manually transfer the data manually via portable hard drive to start the backup for incremental backups start running each night. They can usually return your data by portable hard drive in an emergency too.

I just had a terrible experience with SOS online backup service. I had trouble with their software. I contacted customer support, but they refused to refund the money they charged me. Don't use SOS online backup service.
