Default Remote Backup Service provider

Hello All -

My name is Steve and I am new to the site. I have been in search for many weeks for remote backup resources and I finally found a place where people are talking about it. Here! I am in the middle stages of starting my own remote backup business and I was just wondering what people are using out there? From Software to hardware? I have narrowed my choices down to Ahsay or Rbackup. I feel that both of them meet my business requirements. Hardware is where my concerns are. I have come up with a few key things for an infrastructure, one being iSCSI, its pretty affordable. The part where i struggle is storage solution? Things like SAN or NAS? Anyone have tips or suggestions for these items?

Thanks, in advance.

You can use NAS. Got some positive feedback on it from some sites, though personally I have no experience.

I know this thread is a bit old now, but for future visitors I can say I have used Ahsay for many years and you can't argue with the price, but it is struggling to keep up with backups for Server 2008 at the moment. It cannot perform a systemstate backup of Server 2008 which in this day and age is a deal break for a lot of users.

Thanks for your kind suggestion; I think it’s still useful. Although it’s little old, it doesn’t matter.
