I like to use Mozy online and just a simple USB flash drive for smaller files.

How about using both.

I mean online site like mozy and for offline you can use some external harddrive to backup your whole data.

Now I feel guilty as sin...

I KNOW I'm supposed to back up (and am ashamed that I've not done it in quite some time)

Guess I'm gonna have to devote some time out of my already impossible work schedule or else I'm gonna lose (don't even wanna think about it)

It's good to have backup online and backup offline. To make sure that you dont lost your data.

I prefer the online because it's automatic and seamless. Offline you have to be disciplined and actually do it regularly. Also, you still have risks with data loss on offline storage methods.

Well I would prefer to do offline backup my data my own, and not online. Online backup can be hacked and your data can be stolen.

This could be true in case you use a non-serious service of somebody who acts as service provider "just for fun". But by using a serious backup, your data can't be hacked or stolen or something! Regularly the online backup client (like our "ISI Bodyguard") encrypts the data with a strong encryption and sends it with SSL to the server... so please avoid this generalization that online backup is unsecure!

I prefer online backup cause files are really safe that way...my external drive crashed some years ago - fortunately I already was using Carbonite
