Default New Online Backup Services

There are dozens of really good service providers already but new ones are cropping up all the time--it's getting even more competitive.

Please fill me in if you hear of any new service providers or are doing trial offers with any.

I just learned of Kabooza.com today.

Qwest, the telecom company just announced that it is offering online backup--50 gigabytes of vault space for $6.99 per month or unlimited vault space for $9.99 per month.

Hi there,

I recently read a review of a new online backup service provider, "Keepit", at It Info Online

I think it is a newer company, but they only charge $4.99 a month and have unlimited storage which seems to be about the best deal I can find out there.

Good Luck!

Has anybody heard of Sumo Backup?
I was thinking of doing a trial with them.

They're pretty good. It's an SMB solution.
Designed specifically for business users with laptops and desktops.
Not ideal for servers with SQL or Exchange.

Only works on Windows for now, but the recovery process is pretty decent.

Great. I'm on their email list and wanted to do a free trial.

An Internet backup service is good for small files but most broadband accounts are too slow for really big files, like a gigabyte or bigger.

I suggest you get an external hard drive (USB type) as you will need to maintain backups of individual files that are important to you, and a full backup of the entire drive.

Yes some people are taking that strategy in addition to the online backup.
There are affordable external hard drives with terabytes of capacity.

I just tried Memopal the other day and I really liked it. I am amazed at how many online backup solutions are available and have started my own review site. For a list of several other solutions that I have reviewed check out BackupSolutionsReview.com
