Default Best Online Backup deals

I know there are some companies offering online backup services for free.
Anybody have a handle on the best deals out there?

Mozy.com has 2G for free, that works for me now.
But I think AOL has an X-Drive service up to 5G for free. I'll likely check that out too.

Hello Buddy

There are a lot of companies offering online backup services for free. AOL is one of the example of these and AOL offers 5G storage.

Yes, there are some great deals. AOL Xdrive is what you're referring to. I saw that on--

I think Carbonite has a good offer, unlimited for $49.95 a year, a preety good deal.

Diino.com has 2GB of storage available for free.

ElephantDrive.com has 5GBs for free and I've read some favorable reviews on the service.

Xdrive used to be the most famous one, but after AOL acquired it, the service quality has degraded a lot; Mozy was a good service, but EMC has acquired it, and it looks like the price will go up dramatically as EMC never sells cheap stuff. DriveHQ probably is the best bet at this time. Please read a more complete review:

I was not using anywhere near my free storage limit, but xdrive said i was exceeding it. Of course they wanted me to pay to upgrade. It was frustrating because i know it was just bs. I also could not actually tell what files I had backup up when viewing the web control panel. Again, they wanted me to upgrade and pay. But no such problems with Mozy. It is very simple to use with no bs. i won't mind paying to upgrade with mozy when the time comes, just because of the smooth experience I've had with them thus far.
