When it comes to online backup I only backup online my most important files, such as my personal writings which I intend to publish one day... If I lost those, I would lose years of work.

But I also create a full backup of my hard disk to an external hard disk, and I also create a backup of my hard disk onto DVD's.

I think online backup should only be used to supplement other forms of backup.

Anyway, I am working on creating a site about backup.

It is interesting to read about other peoples backup strategies and experiences!

I have found a free file hosting site that allows you to upload file up to 500MB. It's best for online sharing and back-up of large files such as softwares, games, videos, music, images, etc..It provides links for download and deletion of file, after uploading. check out this site: Fshare.Eu - Free File Sharing Service On Fast Dedicated Servers

Thanks Nelzro. I'll have to check it out. Maybe they'll expand it from 500MB--I need more.

I recently got my email database wiped and it wasn't backed up.
Maybe put that on your list as well.

I back up dynamic content on a daily basis. Static pages I back up every two weeks. Every 7 day the dynamic will overwrite itself. Basically I have a 7 day window to find any problems and correct them. Some may think this is over kill but I use to do this on a tape back up system in the corporate world and it always worked fine. Just kept doing it.
