Default What files do you back up?

I think it's absolutely crucial to back up your important files, documents, photos, mp3s etc. If you've ever had a computer crash you know what I mean.

What types of documents do you back up regularly and how?

I recently set up to backup all my MP3s and confidential documents. As soon as I accumulate a decent number of photos, that's next.

I've been using Mozy.com, free 2G, awesome.

I back up my music via a large mp3 player, that way if my comp ever gets fried I can just copy it all back over. I back up documents by emailing them to myself. Files under 20Mb which I wish to back up I also attach, email, and archive in gmail.

For larger files I first check if they are available on torrents, and if they are not then I put them on my flash drive.

I 'backup' all my important files (site pages, images, contents, etc.) almost regularly (especially before/after I do updates).

I backup all work folders and software kits / license keys that I have purchased, once every 2 weeks.

Default What data you'd regret losing/survey

In June, Harris Interactive asked home computers users what type of data they'd most regret losing. Survey said:

-- Personal photos: 39 percent

-- Documents, e-mails: 21 percent

-- Financial/business data: 12 percent

-- Music, movie files: 8 percent

-- Personal, business contacts: 7 percent

-- Home videos: 1 percent

-- Those who said they don't store important content: 11 percent
