Default How much are you making on the web realistically?

Generally, no one talks about how much they are making or how long they have spent making money on the web. I'm not even sure that those who claim they are making hundreds of thousands per month are really making that much. To start this thread, I will share my earnings over a 12-month period for my website promoting affiliate products & services. I'm doing this part-time spending about 2 hours a week.

If anyone wants to ask why the low performance in Nov - Jan, it's probably because I was busy preparing for my wedding although I cannot verify that...

Thats a really interesting chart you posted attidudewins.

It's a bit disturbing in that there is no real trend like you have to keep switching programs to keep making money

I didtched most programs in favour of Google adsense and Clickbank which are my main earners and I had a gradual increase in both during 2005 and now it's at around $800-$1000 per month but I spend way more than 2 hours per week on my sites (investing in the future). So you are doing incredibly well I think for an affiliate.

I don't really switch programs. I participate in a pool of programs which created a portfolio of income streams so that revenue from one stream on a good day compensates another revenue stream that is having a bad day. I'm still observing the trend.

Good strategy... but only 2 hrs a day???
Do you think if you went upto 8 hrs, yr income would go up in proportion??

It may, and it may not. As I'm currently holding on to a full-time job which usually goes into overtime, I can't really spend more time for now. However, I do believe that income would go up if I spend more time, but not in a linear proportion as you would have thought.

Agreed, its not a linear proportion........ however effort in = money out...
U need time to explore all the money making avenues open to you, to find the ones that work.....

Yes, nice graph !

What created it ? Are you using some type of tracking software that provides you this information, or did you make this by hand ?
