Text ads or banner ads?

Which one works better? I would imagine banner ads work better, because they are graphic, are larger, and are usually placed better. However, statistically I've heard text ads get more clicks. Is that true? I don't see how it's possible.

In my own experience, I get more clicks from text ads than from graphic ads. I guess some people have developed blindness to graphic ads so they tend to ignore those kinds of ads. However, I still think it's a case to case basis, and what may work for one site may not necessarily work for another.

Well, people do prefer well placed text ads, becasue many people take them to be a prt of the website and not an external link and also it seems much more professional. However for a banner, you have to make it catchy and appealing and have the best ibnformation about your sites connet on the banner.
