Best Linux Disto for Audio?

I'm looking for a good linux distro for audio/music applications. My last foray into this world of linux music was with RedHat 9 and I never did quite get the JACK audio/ALSA thing to work very well. I went back to Windows out of necessity, but now I'm about to try again...any suggestions as to which distro is best? I want something that perhaps already has ALSA drivers, so I'm downloading the latest KNOPPIX and UBUNTU DVDs thinking preconfigured OS might be the way to go...but I also want something streamlined, efficient for audio.

what you are looking for might be dynebolic, it is a livecd improved for multimedia activities, playing and editing audio and video, i have used it and its really great recognizing audio and video cards, still i have had no problem
