Hey Users,

is it possible to load pictures from digi-cam to linux- based System without Drivers or Programms. Is there any free software to load the pictures???

Yep, it's possible, almost any digital camera can work under linux, there are some good programs that can be used to download pictures from your camera to the pc, all depends on what you want

- If you want to use only the command line you can use gphoto2 or ptpcam
- If you want to use a gui i recomend you gtkam (under gnome or xfce) but if you use KDE then maybe you would prefer digiKam

there might be another options, those are the ones i know and i tell you this programs works just fine

If your camera is recognized as a "mass storage device" you can simply mount it from a shell prompt and access it that way.
