Default LindowsOS?

Anybody heard of this before? Not slandering the OS itself, but it looks like some random Windows/Linux hybrid, and the GUI does not actually look that appealing...

Not to mention the fact that the website looks like a rip-off of Apple.com...

what does every one think?

Lindows sucks. It tries to be the "easiest" Linux (as if Linux was nowadays difficult), but indeed it doesn't work very well. It's quite expensive too. NOT recommended. (It's called Linspire now I think)

Don't try it. I mean there is no such thing as a linux/windows hybrid is just imposible given that both uses different kernels unless somebody else made a kernel hybrid from this two. Is better just to try a regulat linux distribution like mandriva, Fedora, VLOS,etc and dual both between linux and windows!!! Besides is fun to learn new stuff

Lindows has long been renamed due to a trademark issue with microsoft. It always tried to be as point and click as possible to gain desktop share of microsoft. I think its on sale in the US with some budget PC makers.

I would personally recommend ubuntu/debian for beginners.

Regards,

Peter
