How to save Knoppix settings to USB mem stick?

Hello,

My laptop hard drive recently pooped out. It is mostly just used for websurfing by my wife, so I took out the hard drive, and threw a knoppix cd in it for the time being. I was curious how I go about saving my setting to a USB memory stick, so that I can boot up to where I left off when I restart.

What type of settings are you referring to? Knoppix Operating environment settings?

Do you plan on using Knoppix from now on? DO you plan on replacing the drive?
