Since Fedora Core changes and upgrades so damn fast, would it be better if i stuck to RedHat 9 and then harden it instead of keeping to change it?

Is there really a difference?
Just use what you like the best and if it does not give you any problem just go on using it.

Well, I would say go for the latest. They will have more security fixes and in all a better and more stable system.
