Hello, Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, couldnt quite fit this anywhere else.
I am a honda enthusiast and years ago I created a site (
HAZONE.COM - Honda Acura Zone) for honda and acura stuff. I havnt updated it in years, but I keep the site because my email address is through it and many many people use it. Fast forrward to yesterday, I recieved a letter from a lawyer regarding my site. The lawyer represents Autozone (
AutoZone.com - Get in the Zone!), they are a discount automotive parts company. The basics of the letter say essentially 'we dont mind if you keep your website as long as you dont sell any auto parts' and a request for me to call their office. Now i dont sell anything on the website other than a few old used car parts (again not updated since 2002). However, I dont want to concied to their request. After all, its my website, I should be able to do as i wish. Before I start rambling on, Has anyone ever dealt with this, what was the outcome. Also, does anyone have any suggestions about what I should do? Obviously when it comes to legal activity, a huge business will be able to burry me so is there any protection to the general public against business's bullying?
Thanks
-Rich
