Hello administrator,

Since you're here, might as well share the sad fact that I get the same problem every time I attempt a Post Quick Reply. If I "Go Advanced", I usually get the page.

It sure seems like a refreshing problem of some kind since the data gets to the web server just fine. Even when I get a blank page (blank since the browser just keeps on working trying to load something) my post still gets there.

I am not complaining but since server speed seems a bit off sometimes (at least fo me), I was thinking it might be a lost connection or a timeout server side. It does not seem to be on my (client) side (could be wrong) since I am not having bandwith problems and all other http requests are filled normally. (other tabs in same browser)

I am not getting any errors as I would have expected 500 type errors or even 400 types but nothing.

Anyway, I just happened to see the thread and taught the input might help.

Using Firefox 2.0.0.1.

I'm writting this from my "download machine" on my network (with a KVM switch). It's setup is more than basic.

Generic ATX worsktation PIII-600, 512SDRAM133, Onboard graphics, 10/100 Network adapter and all that old stuff.
OS on maxtor IDE 20
Data on Seagate IDE 100G.
Running XP Pro Sp2
Minimal software, just the essentials.

Not the machine I'm most excited to talk about but for the sole purpose of downloading, it does all I need and more. Frees up my other machines and, most of all, keeps them cleaner.

Thanks.

See ya around.

I'll try a Quick Reply, just for the fun of it.

Not trying to make easy points here but just wanted to confirm that I just got the same blank page after trying to use the "Post Quick Reply" feature, at aprox. 9h30 PM GMT-5. Might help with the logs if ever.

Now in advanced mode and will be able to "Submit Reply" without a glitch. I usually can.

How dumb of me, just finished reading the similar post on the other forum and found out they called it "a browser issue" and it would be Mozilla based browsers that are responsible.

I still would call it an application that does not support a browser, not the other way around, but that's just me.

Thanks for you time and patience.

You know what, I get the same blank page when use the "quick reply". it ends up on just a blank page. So I stick to just using post reply button.
