Default Getting angry with your computer

Have any of you guys read about this new illness going around called Mouse Rage Syndrome? I've never met anyone who has it myself, but I understand some people can get pretty upset and start damaging their machines, and obviously it is the cheap components - the poor mouse - that gets it first.

It seems some folk take to throwing the mouse around the room, when the computer doesn't do what it should. It seems pretty childish I guess, but has anybody met somebody like that?

I used to work as computer tech, in a corporate environment. I have seen people throw keyboards and mouses out of their offices, while I was walking up the their office. Some people who are not computer literate can get very frustrated with computers. I have also seen somebody punch a monitor.. there are even more things people have done.

That situation sounds pretty extreme, but I do understand people getting frustrated with their operating systems, and problems and whatnot. I have to say I can get quite angry, but I always think twice about hitting something.

I never hit anythingn on my computer, I would rather not damage anything. if something gets me upset on my computer, I generally just reformat, so I can have a fresh start.

Ive had a few failing mouses get assistance in failing

I used to have a real issue with an AMD 650 i had. For some reason it would fail, ruined 2 video cards, 4 hard drives in a couple months. Power supplies, ram, motherboard, everything was replaced. i even started considering the power in my house wasn't clean. I tested the outlet, everything was ok. I even added a ups as i had considered there were possible spikes in the power.

The issue was never resolved. I sold the computer in pieces and replaced it. Haven't had an issue like that since. I can tell you though, i had come very close to throwing it outside a few times . I laugh now, but back then i was fuming!

lol I've never heard of it and I definately don't have it. I wouldn't want to risk breaking my mouse or something. I love my computer too much.:P I sometimes bang it against my desk though. That's about as far I i'll go when it comes to ruining my computer. lol

I have seen quite a number of people hitting their mouses when frustated(especially when it doesnt functions properly). To be honest I have myseld broken my mouse once when it was not functioning properly.

Besides I have also seen people throwing their mobile phones on the ground.

Yes I also have seen things like that happen as a tech support over the years but there is a cure or at least some kind of way out of all that frustration, a business recently open here that lets you come, pick up a sledgehammer, gogles and a hard hat and then go happily destroy computer equipment (yours or they can supply some) until your satisfied. I've seen it, not just a stoner's dream... The feeling of hitting a monitor (which has been released of it's electricity since it could be quite dangerous otherwise) seems to be liberating, or so they say...

This is serious, not a joke but still funny as hell.

basically i have changed a tower for my computer after breaking the front "door" and damaging the side panel with a kick...

it wasn't a computer mistake though...it was after a fight with my girlfriend....
i would call it "girlfriend syndrome" :P:P
