Apple came out with application called Aparture but it is not Photoshop.
It is meant for Photographers and it is like Adobe Lightroom but i think better.

It is great application but limited to Photo maniplution basically.

Yeah, Photoshop is my pick. I've used it for so many years, for all kind of purposes, it's just a great tool.

Another great software is Dreamweaver, well, that's what i think at least.

well mine is QuantumHog editor. why??
coz 1. it is free as it is an opensource community product
2. it uses 3DMLW language
3. easily downloadable
4. it's almost as easy to make a 3D web applications with it as it is to write an HTML website.

Photoshop CS3 - I love this and I'm using it for photo enhancing and editing.
Macromedia Flash MX - I used this when I'm doing animation.
Visual FoxPro - This programming language is great. In my opinion, VisualBasic is good but its quite hard or complicated in terms of database management. Because when I was in my college days, we need to use MS Access to make a database for our Vbasic programs but in Visual FoxPro, it is easy to understand how to manage/make a database
