Hi guys, I am Amit and I blog about automobiles at thefundu. This blog is now 2 years old and things get posted regularly their. It has grown at a good pace but things dropped in Oct. I was getting around 500-600 visitors a day but at the minor panda update of 13th Oct, the traffic dropped suddenly too 230 visitors. Their are two reasons I think which affected the site:
- The first reason I think was the Panda Update. Their was a minor update at that time and I guess this might be the reason. The reason I am not assure about it is bcoz the site has passed many updates since Feb and the traffic has never dropped previously.
- The second reason is the updation of Wordpress platform. The wordpress update included a plugin too which injected a meta code of "noindex" in every page which I discovered after a month. Many of the high traffic pages were deindexed from yahoo and google both. I corrected it in the mid Nov. Half of the pages are now indexed but their are more to be. The PR also increased from 2 to 4.
Now, I am writing regularly and also trying to create backlinks but I don't know why Google is not increasing the links whenever I type "links:site". It surround around the same number always.
I am getting fed up of the things going around. I am waiting for the things to get corrected but still no improvement. What should I do, shall I drop the blog or is their some thing to do.
