I am somewhat new to the game of Web dev and everyday I grow more and more sick and tired of Internet Explorer! You would think that Microsoft would have the resources being the industry leader in browsers to make their browser work like its supposed to! I mean what is the deal here? I find myself having to adapt my design to be able to work in IE cuz I am not proficient enough with the hacks. Anyone have any advice on how to learn these. I have been to position is everything and tried to read that, but its like a foreign language to me. Is there something out there for us stupid noobs?

I try to keep my site simple and so far it works in all the browsers. I dont care for IE much and I love firefox

The top four browser market share rankings are: 1 - Microsoft’s IE – 75.88; 2 - Firefox – 13.71%; 3 – Netscape - 4.98%; and 4 - AOL – 2.95%.

Well check this out i ran into this problem untill i met the world of World Wide Web Consortium and now i validate all my sites and it works for me

Wow, I'm surprised that Firefox has that much market share. That's pretty good.

IE 7 is terrific but still in Beta.

This is great. And so much info on the site too. How and where do we validate a site for example?

BTW - Firefox works for me real good. I don't care much about IE as well but can we really ignore it if it is the market share leader?

Well i believe on teh left hand side they have a text link for validate click it and it should be pretty self explainatory

U should use script and check which browser the user has then re-direct them to the correct page, customized for that particular browser.

It takes time and practice, lots of reading. If you get things working for firefox and IE you are pretty much in good shape. firefox mozilla netscape pretty much the same thing... what about "OPERA" ... there is a sweet one to work with

New hacks bugs styles browsers opinions come up every day and you really cant' "KNOW IT ALL" ... you can only work on a case by case basis...
