Default Redifine Tags for different links

Ok,
Ive created a page with set properties and link colors.
The main page is white with black text.

I have another section that has a black background with white text,

the Issue is when I make all links black and then try to define a separate color for the bottom links which is black on white, ............ but I have tried to define a different style for the bottom links to make them white, but I cannot seem to overide the other setting... I hope this makes sense...

But wouldn't that defeat the purpose of using CSS... well I would like to just keep it CSS rather then html. But yeah I tried what you suggested.

Make sure you close the style at the end before you restart a new style

Use diferent styles.

Don't redefine the A tags, rather create sub styles.

For instance make a table and then define the A tags in two substyles, then assign the styles to the td's using class=

hope it helps
