When a group of people work on developing a site, what do you think are the biggest challenges they face in order to obtain an end result that would satisfy both, users and the site itself?

I think the biggest challenge is truly understanding what the site audience is looking for in content and with that insight presenting that information in an easy to digest format.

More often than not web development projects deliver less than desirable outcome because the team puts aesthetic concerns ahead of the needs and interests of the readers who ultimately decide whether the site is going to be a success or failure.

I believe that the biggest challenge for web developers is trying to please whomever they are working for. From what I understand, most clients do not understand how web design works, or much a less care how far they push us to get it their way.

in my opinion the biggest challenge for a web developer is to get visitors to a site. Any one can get a template and upload the content, but the challenge is ... is the template and content friendly enough to grab users ??
