Default Image maps

I've just finished creating an image map (in PSP8) to use as my navigation menu, and saved it as a .htm and .gif file. However, it can't get it to actually show up on my site - I just get the white box with the cross. I've tried everything I can think of and I can't get it to work.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Are the permissions set right for the image?

check to make sure your img link is correct.

Also, why not code an image map by hand? It's not too hard, and you can use php includes for it to propagate all over your website when you update your nav.

The link to the image is probably wrong, or you haven't uploaded it. Could you show us the piece of code for the imagemap and the path to where you have uploaded the image?

ahh image maps i remember those, how i hated them lol

maybe you have the wrong link to the image, check that and maybe post it so that we can help

also, it might be something silly like you put .jpg instead of .gif or something.

Obviously, it is your image not loading. So, either you haven't uploaded it, or you've linked to it wrong.

Exclamation Re: Image maps

The image may be in fact uploading, please check your preferences for Binary, Ascii or Auto for the transmission settings. Usually auto will work just fine, if not try Binary.

What client are you using to upload with?

But yes, usually it is a link issue.

I know this sounds really simple, but if your server is UNIX then it's case sensitive. Make sure that the link (as well as the image file itself) are in lowercase letters.
