Default Deactivate

What is the hTML code to deactivate right clicking? The days of my image being stolen etc are about to be over. How much more security does the right click html actually provide?

Hi,

I think this feature of disabling right clicks is really only effective in popup windows. If used on any other page the user can still select view->source from their browser.

It is practically impossible to protect anything on the web. The most you could probably do is put a watermark over that image. There are some programs that could do this for you. You might be able to use CSS to place something invisible over the image, but you'd still have the url to the main image in the source.

I heard about this. I was telling my friend that I was looking for a way to protect my page and her exact words were "ok, tell me when you're done and I"ll show you how to get around all of your little codes." I think I need to learn how to do watermarks instead, but there probably is a way around those too - using photoshop.

Most of the time, for pictures, people could just be able to press print screen on the keyboard and paste it into their favorite picture editor. From there, they can crop the picture to their desire. It's really hard to protect an image.

oh i read somewhere else how to do this. you paste an invisible pic over your image, when the people copy and paste into their image program they get a blank, not your image.

well someone can always do a Print Screen and steal your images too. Watermarking them is probably the best way of doing, but that can be annoying at times to do that for all of your images.
