I'm trying to create a password protected chat room. I would also like to have a timer on there, so that users may only access it for a set amount of time. What html should I use or which program?

That looks like the sort of thing that I would need. But, now I would need to know how to embed that into a chatroom. Also, I would want it to do more than count - It has to close the chatroom.

maybe you can get a customization chat room like 123 flash chat, In fact it don't nned customization if you just want the password of the room.As the admin you can set password for specilal room ,or let only special user can login the room,it's very ease to use this chat.
