Default Linking to Windows Help and Support Files

Hello. I'm developing an HTML page for our company's local intranet. I want to encourage my viewers to set their screen resolution to at least 1024x768 (as i messed up-- on SEVERAL javascript pop-up window dimensions, didn't think of the issue cause my res is set high)

i want to have this like go directly to the Windows Help and Support files. I have currently this

but, as you can see if you click there (if it works for you at all) that it is not the proper link, exaclty-- the page doesn't allow for navigation throughout the rest of the help files related to the issue.

any ideas on the best practice for how to make this work the way i want (which would be to have the genuine help file open at the link)?

Could be the linking problem because a link on your C dirve is not a link on their C dirve.
You should have something mapped into your unit. Could be //yourPCname or something like that.

Then off link those help files from there.

this must help :
Code:
ms-its:%systemroot%\Help\display.chm::/display_ct.htm

%systemroot% value is used by the installer.exe so that it can localise where is ur windows directory....
I used it here so that instead of the link looking for C:/window or D:/WINNT for example, it just go to the directory of windows and from there you specify the file you are pointing to. I'm not sure this link will work for you because i m using ITALIAN WINXP so maybe the file names are different... Anyway i know u can figure it out...

Edit: i just tested it, it doesn t work... this link i gave u only works if you paste it in the address bar...
Once you put it in <a href=""></a> it stops working ...

sorry that s all what i was able to invent...
But i think what u are asking for could be done with javascript...

Just a hint: why don t you save the help file and upload it to your intranet server, that way u can link to it..
