I want to display status bar messages for links. As the visitor hovers their mouse over a link, a message can appear to help them understand my link topics.
Is there a character length restriction on this? And can anyone share a piece of script to show how to do this.
Do you mean a status bar as in the bar at the bottom of a browser? When you hover over a link with that it displays the url - but you can edit it to say what you want.
Or do you mean that it creates a different "box" when you hover over a link, allowing you to create entire paragraphs (in the actual page, not in the status bar)?
For example, if you hover over the quote button on this page the status bar says "shortcut to newreply...". But a new "box" also appears that says "reply with quote". Which is it that you're looking for?
