Question Problem with cross browser compatability

Hello guys.

Developing a site using XTHML 1.0 Strict Doctype with CSS and I'm getting problems with getting the site to display properly in Firefox, Opera, Netscape and IE.

Thing is it displays fine (or how I want it to) in IE but in Firefox, Opera and Netscape I get a problem with the margins around my DIVs.

In the last three browsers (Firefox,Opera and Netscape) the site displays exaclty the same which leads me to believe that IE is displaying the site incorrectly (Never heard that before....).

Despite that I want the site to dispaly like IE displays it in all browsers. The problem I'm getting in the other browsers is that the left, centre and right column DIVs should all be vertically in line and visibily seperate from the top DIV created by the top margin.

I've run my site through the W3C Validator and it all checks out so I don't think it's anything to do with browsers rendering in quirks mode.

page url: Template

style sheet: www.1130df.co.uk/style.css

Any ideas?

well i am not an expert when it comes to css but from looking at your site through firefox and IE it is a simple mistake (i think) i had the same problem before on one of my sites try adding another div box above your centre div with no border IE will ignore this but firefox will add the divbox but will only display it as a empty space!
if this is no good then im sure you can change the margin!

hope that helps!
P.S. remember always to make a back up

I don't see any problems with the link, looks ok in FF. I usually build sites for w3c compliance and so they look right in FF - then if there's any problems in IE you can take care of them by adding a conditional statement in the head and include an IE-specific stylesheet.

Well im creating it in Dreamweave and it looks how it appears in IE in the design view so I'm pretty confused.

I've tried making the margin bigger which make the space bigger in IE but no change in FF. This makes me think that FF isn't reading the margin element at all but I don't know why!!

I could add another DIV in between but I don't see why the current set up isnt' working.
