Hi

Computer viruses are programs written by "mean" people. These virus programs are placed into a commonly used program so that program will run the attached virus program as it boots, therefore, it is said that the virus "infects" the executable file or program. Executable files include Macintosh "system files" [such as system extensions, INITs and control panels] and application programs [such as word processing programs and spreadsheet programs.] Viruses work the same ways in Windows or DOS machines by infecting zip or exe files.

A virus is inactive until you execute an infected program or application OR start your computer from a disk that has infected system files. Once a virus is active, it loads into your computer's memory and may save itself to your hard drive or copies itself to applications or system files on disks you use.

Really nice post. Virus is a small infectious agent that can only replicate inside the cells of another organism. So we should install any good antivirus to remove this virus.

Yes I totally agree to you its interesting that virus are created by the anti-virus companies itself. because i dont think so any individual or any company have any benefits to create virus except anti-virus companies. Thanks.

A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer.We can say A computer virus is an executable program. Depend on the nature of a virus, it may cause damage of your hard disk contents etc....!

A Computer Virus is a program that can copy itself and infect a computer without the permission or information of the user. It might corrupt or delete your all data on your computer. Most of the viruses are spread these days on the internet via email or downloaded files.
It is important for the well being of your computer you must have a top antivirus such as Norton Antivirus, AVG, NOD32, Avira etc.
