I would have to go with "its the thought that counts" but these days its the size of the sapphire or diamond that counts.

Since I got married, I didn't receive any flowers and chocolates from my husband. He's not a type of person that is particular of giving some stuffs but rather he just wanna have dinner date.

We didn't do much for valentines day as our anniversary is 6 days later. So we celebrated on the 20th and did dinner and a card.
