As the picture below shows, the culture can be divided from the outside in into several parts:the culture's performance,behaviour;consciousness and values of an enterprise;subconsciousness of an enterprise;the soul of an enterprise.

One.The performance of an enterprise--the phenomenon presented by enterprise

Referred to all the phenomena externally,including the products and services of the enterprise(materialized form);the regulations and procedures of the enterprise;the
etiquettes and techniques of the staff;the organizational frames and images of the enterprise.

Two.The consciousness of an enterprise--the reason and direction of enterprise's existence

The values of an enterprise:to choose and sort all the related resources and values,or to say,the management ideas and basic laws.

The ideas of management:the appropriate answers and strong belief to such questions as "Why does organization exist?" ,"What's the real mission?". The mission of a company is the tenent,the core and fundation of the organization's living.It's the "soul",the basically unchangeable belief,and the most ultimate and highest goal.

Mission leads the enterprise to the clear directions.An enterprise without clear mission cannot have far prospect!The design for value of company is the design of company's mission and the process of improving.Excellent organization is the perfect combination of materialism and realism,and materialism contains the spiritual civilization, the priests,education,and usual mind,or the cultivation,and what's more,realism contains material civilization,business,training and aggressiveness,or the nature of wolf.

The president of Huawei Ren Zhengfei said:"the core value of an enterprise is a piece of dish that fits the whole staff.One enterprise must have only one core value,with which we can unite and manage the culture of company.It should be the measurement all the staff acknowledging together."

The core of sustainable development lies in the motive source and mechanism an enterprise owns,which is the core value of enterprise.

Starbucks' idea of management:to stick to the principle unswervingly in the process of development,making Starbucks as one of the main suppliers for the top coffee in the world.


Starbucks'6 guiding principles are the behavior guides:
1. To provide excellent working environment and respect each other;

2. To embrace diversity is the element of our development of our career ;

3. To purchase and bake by the highest standard,supplying with the freshest coffee;

4. To express the high enthusiasm ,satisfying the needs of customers;

5. To contribute to the community and environment actively;

6. To produce the profit is the basic of our success in the future;

Three principles of hundred-year enterprise:

1. Human's value is higher than one thing's value:
For example:Panasonic brings about genius first and then produces appliances!

2.Mutual value is higher than individual value:
Excellent enterprises advocate spirit and culture of teamwork;advocate the organic combination of individual career and enterprise growth!

3. Social value is higher than profic value,a user's value is higher than producing value

Economic goals(profits)are not only the vital goals of enterprise,but fundation of realizing the society goals!
A Company cannot achieve social ambitions if it doesn't make money(no profit).Therefore,it's immoral that a company doesn't make money!However,the social goals of enterprise facillitates the realization of the ecomomic goals.Because of this,an enterprise should prevent social problems from happening positively.Once the social problem of responsibility emerges,an enterprise should take responsibility bravely,to correct the passive social influence.

Three.The company's subconsciousness---the mutual value of teamwork.

The story of monkey

There was a group of monkeys stuck in a cage,where there was a rope above.And the rope was tied with a banana,connected with an organ,the organ connected with water source. Monkeys found the banana,and some monkeys jumped there to reach the banana.When the monkeys reached it,the rope connected with banana drove the organ,and the water in basin was poured out.Although the monkeys which reached the banana could eat the banana,other monkeys was wet all around.Such process was replayed again and again,when monkeys found that though monkeys could eat the banana,the monkeys eating banana is minority,what's more,the rest of monkeys could be wet all around.After some time,some monkeys would take action spontaneously--when there was a monkey grabbing the banana,other monkeys would beat the monkey.Every time there was a monkey going to getting the banana,the rest of monkeys would bite that monkey consciously for anger.And time after time,monkeys began to cooperate,and no one monkey daren't pick the banana.

After dozens of times' repetiton,the behaviours and values all the members acknowledging,will become tacit understanding(habits),finally becoming the fixed subconsciousness of the whole company.

The form of group's subconsciousness:the legends of business enterprise,the typical cases,solidified habits,the feelings of enterprise brands.

The establishment of company's reputation(brand) should go through popularity,credibility,reputation,loyalty and trust!If a team or a company becomes larger and longer,the inertia of subconsciousness will become bigger!

How to set up positive and active collective subconsciousness in organization and succeed with the energy of collective mutual subconsciousness?

1. At the first stage of setting the organization up, find the correct man,choose the appropriate apples,clean up the bad apples in time(poisonous grass)!

2. Find suitable seeds(men),plant them in the soil you have cared a lot(excellent organizational culture),provide them with sunshine,air,water,and peasant fertilizer they need...

3. Let them grow up healthily and freely,creat the most excellent self!During the process of growing,they will think that everything is such a thing...

So ancient saying said:After the things are over,people all said "It's natural and fine."

太上,不知有之;

其次,亲之誉之;

其次畏之,其下侮之.

—《道德经》

These are 4 kinds of levels in leading:

As for the best,people cannot feel his existence;
As for the better,people appreciate and go close to him;
As for the less better,people are frightened by him;
As for the worst leading,people look down upon and insult him.

The story of grassland:

There was a piece of beautiful grassland in the neighbourhood,but quite a lot of people stepped onto it for cutting corners.Property management department elamed it with iron wire,but the effect was not apparent enough;and then they invited a security to make special warning and guard,so the people who disobey are fewer and fewer,but there were also many;at last they set up a piece of brand--trampling on the grass, fined on 50 yuan.Strict fining,added with more measurement,maked it that no one went across the grassland.Once newcomers wanted to go across it,old stayers would warn:no stepping.

Actually it is a process of company's culture,from a beautiful wish,preventing from disobeying.AS time goes by,the rule is changed into habit,and the good wish can be ensured and realized.As everyone all knows,throwing rubbishes anywhere in HongKong can be fined 600yuan,and this is a sort of environment-protecting culture,HongKong culture.

There was a piece of beautiful grassland in the neighbourhood,but quite a lot of people went directly across it for cutting corners.What if the ones stepping on grass became more and more,and there were more and more traces on the ground? The staff in Property management department carried sand and pebbles,making a marvelous path in the grass.
This is not wrong,since different enterprises have different cultures,but the principle of "suitable first" should not be shaked.And from another aspect,company's culture has its inclusiveness,so sometimes,we should be good at going with the tide,correcting our dreams and innovating bravely.

Four. The quality of an enterpriser--the soul of the culture.

What's the quality of an enterpriser?The enterpriser establishes lofty mission and prospect wish,which is the first creation of the company--"the mental creation".

Someone says:The culture of enterprise is the culture of the boss!If an enterpriser cannot see the intangible energy out of the culture,he cannot either master it!

When enterpriser sets up its credibility by inside and outside,he not only establishes credibility between each other,but also improves his own relationship.By this,he can also arouse the initiativenesses of the individuals and the whole group to achieve the expected results.

A leader should begin with "worth trusting".To lead others effectively,we should first lead ourselves efficiently.When we showing our worth trusting,others can also trust our potential of leading.

Interpersonal relationship is based on trust.Trust should only be given to the ones worth trusting,since it helps us to establish stronger and thicker interpersonal relationship.If mutual trust is destroyed,so is the yield of organization,which means that we cannot produce constant yeild!

To any organization,the most important resource is the relationship between one person and another,including the inner and external interest party.When an individual takes the most advantages of his subjective initiative actively ,the organization can connect the mechanism,structure,with the mission and strategies closely,satisfying the demands of interest parties.This kind of balance can improve independence,and strengthen trust.
